Interior and Exterior Design
The Mazda CX-5 feels roomy, having 41 inches of first-row leg room and nearly 40 inches of second-row leg room. The rear cargo area has a volume of 30 cubic feet, so there's enough space to store large items. Since the rear seats can be quickly folded down whenever passengers are not riding with you on Sweet Water roads, you can easily rearrange things if necessary. When those seats have been lowered, cargo volume increases to almost 60 cubic feet.
An optional sunroof can help the cabin seem more open, and luxurious materials add to its style. All trims feature leather-wrapped steering wheels and either leatherette or leather seats. Heated front seats also come standard with the Mazda CX-5, so you can stay comfortable when it gets colder around Impact. High-end elements create the body design of the Mazda CX-5's exterior. The LED headlights have an automatic leveling function, the wipers can turn on and off by themselves, and the side mirrors come with LED turn signals. Other amenities found on the higher trim levels include heated and power-folding side mirrors, LED daytime running lights, and 19-inch aluminum alloy wheels.
Technology
There are many advanced elements incorporated into the Mazda CX-5. You'll appreciate the convenience of advanced keyless entry and push-button start when traveling around town. The 10.25-inch screen displays easy-to-read text, and you can control the screen through the Multifunction Commander device or with voice commands. Standard components in the infotainment system include Apple CarPlay®, Android Auto™, HD Radio, and Pandora radio. SiriusXM, seven-inch LCD displays, and windshield-projected Active Driving Displays come with many of the trim levels; the top-of-the-line trim level also offers built-in navigation.
Safety
To keep you safe on the roads, the Mazda CX-5 has monitoring systems that can continually look out for problems on your behalf. This SUV will warn you about lane departures, possible frontal collisions, vehicles in your blind spot, and those crossing behind you when backing up. Not only that, but it can also hit the brakes and adjust your steering. Additionally, it comes standard with adaptive cruise control and pedestrian detection.
Trim Levels
You can decide between eight Mazda CX-5 trims. The 2.5 S Select, 2.5 S Preferred, 2.5 S Carbon Edition, 2.5 S Premium, and 2.5 S Premium Plus all run on standard engines. The Preferred is the level at which a power liftgate and power moonroof become standard; the Carbon Edition looks excellent with its dark exterior, and the Premium and Premium Plus feel very refined. The Carbon Turbo, Turbo Premium, and 2.5 Turbo Signature benefit from turbocharged engines, with the Signature having the most amenities.
